Stack trace:
I have no idea what this is or where to find it.

Other information:
keep in mind I am no technogeek at all. Trouble started earlier today. Uninstalled GIMP. Reinstalled Gimp. Worked fine for several hours. Have had program on and off several times as ideas of my photos to play with come up. Then trouble started again. Ran no virus sweeps which would have pulled something out, so that's not it - I think, virus program somewhere said that can happen, so pay attention to what's pulled out.

Have had either, or neither, AOL Radio playing Hawaiian or Windows Media playing KRLI radio at same time as GIMP open when this has happened. Have had Firefox open, or not.

Windows puts up this little box which says GIMP has encountered a problem and stopped working. And that's all Bill Gates will tell me about it.

This is a month and half old HP Pavillion something with Windows Vista and IE 8 built in. Home use by me. Haven't seen the cat using it.
Did buy the $50 Beginning Gimp book the other day.
