Description Misha Shnurapet 2009-07-01 16:02:50 UTC
I am using the latest version of the player available in the stable branch of my distro's repository.

When I import compilations of "Various Artists", the player sometimes offers to put the localized "Various Artists" string in the corresponding field, which is an absolutely correct behavior. But having "Различные исполнители" (="Various Artists" in Russian) in the tag prevents the player from finding the cover art. Changing it back to english equivalent fixes the problem of cd-covers but I consider my native language to be more convenient.

I suspect that Banshee is sending the localized string for "Various Artists" and that's why it fails to find it. I think it should send "Various Artists" in english whatever the localized equivalent is in the tag, as the place where it searches for the cover art does not understand the combination "Various Artists" translated to different languages.

If I get the whole thing wrong, please excuse me. It's just how it looks like to me.

Thank you.
