GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 587387
Using animated background .xml uses all the ram
Last modified: 2009-06-30 05:14:14 UTC
Steps to reproduce: 1. make an .xml that uses many images for an animation in a short time 2. set as background 3. wait Stack trace: make the pc crash, xorg starts using very high amount of ram Other information: make the pc crash, xorg starts using very high amount of ram even after changing the background the ram isn't liberated
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Without a stack trace from the crash it's very hard to determine what caused it. Can you get us a stack trace? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so. Thanks in advance!

What's the program updating the background? I now found out that's this is a more general bug, I've filed this bug under: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=587388 and I will mark this one as a duplicate.
