Description Nicholas Doyle 2009-06-29 23:36:30 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Tried copying some FLAC files to my Android G1. Files were being transcoded to smaller OGG files. Reported storage usage of device is shown as the size of the FLAC files instead of the size of the OGG files. After the devices is reported as being full (even though it isn't) tracks are silently not copied to the device; the transcode and copy jobs continue running as if nothing is wrong.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Set up a transfer of large tracks that must be transcoded to a smaller format.
2. Watch the blue capacity bar grow at the size of the larger tracks instead of the size of the smaller tracks.
3. Wait for bar to get full.
4. Watch copy and transcode jobs continue.
5. Notice that files are not actually being copied to the device.

Actual results:
Tracks are not being copied to the device.

Expected results:
Tracks get copied to the device.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Bulk changing the assignee to banshee-maint@gnome.bugs to make it easier for people to get updated on all banshee bugs by following that address. It's usually quite apparent who is working on a given bug by the comments and/or patches attached.

Does this still happen? If it does please run:

banshee-1 --debug --redirect-log

Reproduce the issue and quit Banshee, then attach the resulting ~/.config/banshee-1/log file to this bug.
