Hi,

good work on empathy.  May I make a request for an enhancement?  I will be switching over from pidgin and it would be really awesome to not only import account setup but also make available pidgin chat logs (once-off import or preferably direct and live access).

PS: this could be bug 579159, but there is hardly any description in that bug about what it addresses

Yes, that's a dup. Sorry, the other bug is not clear. We refactored empathy to support many sources for logs. Currently we implemented only one source but we would like to add at least 2 others: pidgin source and a DB source which could become the default one.
