Description Ian Dalton 2009-06-24 08:38:25 UTC
Please describe the problem:
SUM() works if I save in OOo as OOo 1.0 (.sxc), but not ODF (.ods).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a file in OpenOffice.org (3.0.1 Ubuntu's repo).
2. Enter some data and SUM() it.
3. Open in Gnumeric.

Actual results:
An error of the form "Sheet1!A4 : Missing expression namespace" and the formula (but not the value) is missing.

Expected results:
Formula to remain and no error to appear.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

OpenOffice decided to change its namespace. They used to use oooc: for its formulas, then decided to change to of: which is supposed to stand for OpenFormula, a standard that doesn't exist yet.

This is alreday fixed for a while, since 1.9.4 (1.9.9 has been released last weekend.)

This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade.
