Description Dan 2009-06-18 18:24:19 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When "Automatically remember running applications when logging out" is disabled, the applications that were last started by having this option enabled will continue to start on all subsequent restarts.

What should happen is that all applications that had been added to whatever list to be started at login by this option should be cleared out when this option is unchecked.

Steps to reproduce:
1. gnome-session-properties
2. Options > "Automatically remember running applications when logging out"
3. Have some apps open, restart, and watch the apps restart (as expected)
4. go back to gnome-session-properties
5. disable Options > "Automatically remember running applications when logging out"
6. Restart, and watch those applications start again, which they shouldn't

Actual results:
The apps that were last started by this option are started again.

Expected results:
No extra apps should be started.

Does this happen every time?
Yes, please see this downstream bug from the Ubuntu-verse: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-session/+bug/364023

Other information:
A simple workaround is to re-enable to option, restart with no running apps, then uncheck the option.
