GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 586294
icons on desktop mostly hidden after a change of screen resolution
Last modified: 2010-04-16 18:34:50 UTC
Please describe the problem: Hi, When I change the resolution of the screen to a lowest resolution, some icons on the bottom of the desktop disappear. So I do a refresh of the desktop with "F5" and my icons appears but a bit too low. I searched for the bug during the day and I think it's in the function "icon_set_position" (~ line 313) in the file .../nautilus-2.24.2/libnautilus-private/nautilus-icon-container.c The problem appears whether the icons are aligned on the grid or not. Steps to reproduce: 1. put some icons on the bottom of the desktop, with your standard resolution 2. switch your screen to a lowest resolution (800x600 for example) 3. press F5 to refresh the desktop Actual results: your icons will be visible UNDER the gnome-panel. Expected results: the icons should appears a little bit higher, as when you move your icon to the bottom of the screen. Does this happen every time? I think so. but I can't confirm that. Other information: The problem appears sometimes on the right or the left of the screen...
