Please describe the problem:
If you have selected a text object and then select the Text Edit mode. You need to re-select the object before it will allow and text to be edited.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Select a Text object
2. Select the Text Edit mode
3. Notice the cursor appears but you can not edit the text till you re-select the same object.

Actual results:

Expected results:
I would expect to be able to immediately edit the text of the selected text object as soon as the Text Edit mode was clicked.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Bug 586060 - fully enter text edit after drop or F2

To allow typing in new text right after the previous action
mess a bit with active window and automatic tool selection.
