Steps to reproduce:
1. subtitle options crash movie 
2. computer freezes
3. have to reboot manually

Stack trace:
when i try and play a movie with the subtitles on as soon as the movie starts talking it kicks me out of the movie. or it freezes to the point i can't do anything with my computer. hard for me to watch movies being hearing impaired.
