This problem has reappeared with Fedora 11.

Compaq Presario 2140US
Battery is not detected and change of state is not monitored.  There is no tab for battery in the power statistics either.

Description of Problem: When the plug is pulled on a laptop the program
does not detect a switch from AC power to battery power. It also does
not detect the battery charge level.


Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Install on an Acer Laptop
2. Activate the Battery Charge Monitor Program
3. Remove the plug from the laptop

Actual Results:
No change in the icon or reported state of power input.

Expected Results:
The icon to change and start reporting how much battery is left.

How often does this happen?
Always

Additional Information:
The computer is an Acer TravelMate 4000.
