Description Paolo Benvenuto 2009-06-14 18:24:53 UTC
trunk

When I download the photos from the camera, in the 1st progress bar pass the indication of what the importer is doing (downloading) has disappeared, while it keeps saying the 2nd pass: reorienting the images. Neither is says anything about deleting the images from the camera, but it does delete them.
Comment 1 Michael Chudobiak 2009-06-14 18:55:13 UTC
The photos are not deleted in a separate pass any more. They are deleted during the "downloading" step.

This isn't a bug; it is just a change in the behaviour of the importer.

Comment 2 Paolo Benvenuto 2009-06-14 18:56:56 UTC
The deletion issue was the second part of the bug.

The 1st keeps on. Reopening.
Comment 3 Michael Chudobiak 2009-06-14 19:54:38 UTC
I misunderstood. It should be fixed now.

Comment 4 Paolo Benvenuto 2009-06-14 20:04:28 UTC
OK, but now the thumbnails aren't shown in the importer window even if the corresponding preference is set. That's happening when the importer is automatically loaded when connecting the camera.

On the contrary, if gthumb is already running and I issue a manual import command from it, the thumbnails are shown.
Comment 5 Michael Chudobiak 2009-06-14 20:48:28 UTC
Hmm, try it now.

Comment 6 Paolo Benvenuto 2009-06-18 22:04:40 UTC
No thumbnail is shown in the importer window: it show only the "standard image" for every photo
Comment 7 Michael Chudobiak 2009-06-19 09:18:47 UTC
So, are they showing correctly for the manual import (launched from the menu), but not the automatic import?

Comment 8 Paolo Benvenuto 2009-06-19 11:48:40 UTC
exact
Comment 9 Michael Chudobiak 2009-09-22 12:47:00 UTC
The importer code has been rewritten in ext branch. Please file a new bug if this is still an issue.
