GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 585760
importer: thumbnails not shown if importer launched automatically
Last modified: 2009-09-22 12:47:00 UTC
trunk When I download the photos from the camera, in the 1st progress bar pass the indication of what the importer is doing (downloading) has disappeared, while it keeps saying the 2nd pass: reorienting the images. Neither is says anything about deleting the images from the camera, but it does delete them.
The photos are not deleted in a separate pass any more. They are deleted during the "downloading" step. This isn't a bug; it is just a change in the behaviour of the importer. - Mike
The deletion issue was the second part of the bug. The 1st keeps on. Reopening.
I misunderstood. It should be fixed now. - Mike
OK, but now the thumbnails aren't shown in the importer window even if the corresponding preference is set. That's happening when the importer is automatically loaded when connecting the camera. On the contrary, if gthumb is already running and I issue a manual import command from it, the thumbnails are shown.
Hmm, try it now. - Mike
No thumbnail is shown in the importer window: it show only the "standard image" for every photo
So, are they showing correctly for the manual import (launched from the menu), but not the automatic import? - Mike
exact
The importer code has been rewritten in ext branch. Please file a new bug if this is still an issue. - Mike
