GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 584915
Time format error when creating a new appointment
Last modified: 2009-06-05 19:06:01 UTC
Please describe the problem: I am having this rather annoying problem with Evolution ... and searching Google or here has proved that apparently I am the only one or so. Running Ubuntu 9.04 with full update to all the latest software. When I enter a new appointment in the calendar it comes up with the time field empty (even if I clicked on a time slot). I can select one from the list and nothing happens (the box stays empty) or type a time but when I save it ... the time disappear again, and so the appointment. Now if I switch to the list view I can see it with starting time 0.00 and end time 0.00 .... I can edit those values from there but whatever I pick from the drop down list I get an error saying: Date should be in the format 1.30. In the preference page time is set to 24h (though the options are disabled and grayed so I would not be able to go 12 even if I wanted to). See also file attach 1 (time box is empty), file attach 2 (appointment was created but with no timing) and finally file attach 3 (error on setting the time from the page on screenshot 2) Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: To create a calendar entry with the right time Does this happen every time? Yes Other information:

Please run recent versions before reporting bugs... Thanks. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 578224 ***
Thanks for the answer. I did not search in Italian but only in English (here and on Ubuntu forums) and the bug did not came up. My fault. I am just curious what do you mean by latest version? Having Ubuntu 9.04 (latest release) fully updated is not considered latest/supported? Should I report bugs only if I run latest version compiled from source? Thanks Paolo
