GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 584676
Ekiga fails to re-register at end of registration period
Last modified: 2010-02-02 17:00:00 UTC
I am connecting to my Kamailio 1.5 SIP proxy with ekiga 3.2.2. The fault I have found is Ekiga fails to re-register at the end of the registration period. To reproduce the problem, set the registration period to be 300s in the Account timeout definition. It is expected that a REGISTER message would be sent from Ekiga just prior to the end of the registration period but no message was sent. The Ekiga client continues to send options/notify messages indefinitely without attempting to re-register and then the registration expires. The problem does not occur in version ekiga-setup-3.0.2beta7300.exe but does occur in builds ekiga-setup-3.2.0_100.exe ekiga-setup-3.2.0_115.exe ekiga-setup-3.2.1_1-release.exe I can provide wireshark traces to support this, let me know where you would like me to email them. Thanks,
Created attachment 135855 [details] Wireshark trace showing the client not re-registering
Forgot to mention that unregistering the account and re-registering the account using the Account window, does not cause Ekiga to register either
Christian, could you tell us if the problem exists also with 3.2.5?
A similar bug (maybe the same) has recently been fixed: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2806548&group_id=204472&atid=989748 Christian, could you also try with the forthcoming 3.2.6?
