(Firstly excuse my poor knowlegde of the english language) I faced allmost the same bug: Please describe the problem: Laptop Dell Precison M6300, GRUB boot - Windows Vista / CentOS 5.4. Hard Disk is FUJITSU MHW2160BJ FFS G2 ATA DEVICE The BIOS tells me: "SATA AHCI" (not "ATA") Boot fails with Error message: Can not mount /dev/loop (/live/image/live/filesystem.squashfs) on //filesystem.squashfs The file live.log is: Begin: ... done. Begin: ... done. Begin: Running /scripts/live-realpremount ... done Begin: Mounting "/live/image/filesystem.squashfs" on "/filesystem.squashfs" via "/dev/loop0" ... mount: mounting /dev/loop0 on //filesystem.squashfs failed: Input/output error This happens with gparted live CD 0.4.8.-6 AND gparted live CD 0.4.6.-1. (md5sum of file gparted-live-0.4.6.-1.iso is checked as correct, md5sum of file gparted-live-0.4.8.-6.iso is not checked.) But this happens NOT with both live CD on an older Laptop Dell Inspiron 9100, GRUB boot - Windows XP / CentOS 5.4. On this computer both, 0.4.8.-6 and 0.4.6.-1, boot fine. patzelt@fh-dortmund.de
