Description palfrey 2009-05-22 12:38:48 UTC
Searching with the responders search field in the simple bug search is typically to find bug reports that no-one's properly investigated yet, but given that one of the auto-filed "Bug $ID has been marked as a duplicate of this bug" comments counts as a responder, this is less useful. You end up with bugs like Bug 452894 which has 5 duplicates and gets counted as having 3 responders, but doesn't have any actual proper response comments.

I propose either the addition of a new field, or the changing of the responders search field to ignore the "Bug $ID has been marked as a duplicate of this bug" comments.

After https://wiki.gnome.org/Initiatives/DevelopmentInfrastructure , GNOME is moving its task tracking from Bugzilla to GitLab at https://gitlab.gnome.org/ as previously announced in https://mail.gnome.org/archives/desktop-devel-list/2018-May/msg00026.html . See https://wiki.gnome.org/GitLab for more information.

Hence closing this ticket as WONTFIX: There are no plans to work on Bugzilla.
