Description Thomas Mudrunka 2009-05-19 18:36:38 UTC
+ feature 1: save playlist every time the totem is closed. so i can continue listening music (or watching videos) next time i start the totem.
+ feature 2: save playlist every n-th minute.

latest playlist should be saved to ~/.config/totem/playlist.m3u (for example)

It's important that this feature can be disabled (eg. when i accidentally lose my playlist, i can kill totem to revert old playlist). or there can be history of few latest playlists...

btw it would be nice to be able to save playlist also manually.
1.) save for next session
2.) save to external m3u file

Bastien Nocera: i think that my bug is quite different. i don't want to use gnome-session-manager (since i do not want to save playlist just between gnome sessions - because i am using hibernation rather than shutdown) and i don't want to save position in current file, but whole playlist - like other players (xmms, audacious,...) do.
Comment 4 Thomas Mudrunka 2009-06-25 15:48:34 UTC
i've just tried gnome session restoration and it works great, but i want totem to remember my playlist even when it's killed, when it (or my pc) crashes for some reason or when i close it's window (eg. accidentaly).

i think this can be easily done using already existing routines (save playlist each N seconds - if changed. and save it before exiting.)
