GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 583224
No UTC set on the clock applet
Last modified: 2009-06-24 04:39:21 UTC
Please describe the problem: I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 9.04. One of my systems is used for ham radio work & I keep it on UTC. I can't find the option to set this in preferences when I right-click the applet. I can change my location to London, but this doesn't help, as I am now set to their local time & they use Daylight Saving Time, so local is UTC + 1 hour -- no help to me there. I can select the 24 hour format for the time. Steps to reproduce: 1 Right-click the applet 2 See the option to select 12/24 hour format, but not internet or UTC time Actual results: Expected results: Should see radio buttons for the desired selection. Does this happen every time? Yes Other information: I didn't have this problem on Ubuntu 7.10. (I actually did a complete install from the live CD that I downloaded, as I had increased the system memory, & wanted Ubuntu to repartition my disk for a larger swap file.)

Would somebody please tell this "noob" where to find the applets/clock files referred to, so I can make the changes given. I am not too familiar with all the paths in Linux. Thanks, & the email is ve4gks@mts.net .
