GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 583191
Edit as new message not working
Last modified: 2009-12-26 07:23:28 UTC
Please describe the problem: I noticed that Edit as new message is not properly working in folders other than sent folder. I have configured one gmail imap account. If I click any message in inbox and do right click->edit as new message, most of the times, mail body is blank. Attachments are added, to, cc & subject is filled but body is blank. Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to inbox. 2. Select any message. 3. right click and select edit as new message. Actual results: New message opened with to, cc, subject textboxes & attachment bar filled but body blank. Expected results: It should have mail content as well. Does this happen every time? Yes Other information:
it is working fine here with my imap server. May be you are trying to deal with any meeting request.
Working fine here as well. Reducing severity.
I checked normal mails not meeting requests. I wonder why it is not working for me. It was working till I was on 2.26.1. Since upgrading to 2.27.1, I'm having this issue.
Setting status to NEEDINFO until we have more information on how to reproduce the problem.
I can reproduce frequently following steps mentioned in original report. Mostly mails having no attachment render without body.
Reproducible in 2.27.90. May be it has something to do with the settings. My composer preferences are as below: Format HTML Forward style: Inline Reply stype: Inline(Outlook style) Signature above quoted message
Reproducible on 2.27.91.
This appears to be gone in 2.29.4.
