Description Nikolaus 2009-05-14 13:48:11 UTC
Please describe the problem:
It is not possible to select the current working directory in the open directory dialog. Clicking the "Open" button has no effect at all.

This can be reproduced e.g. in OGMRip:

1. Change into the directory containing the VIDEO_TS directory, open OGMRip

2. Try to open this directory in OGMRip: click on "Open", "Browse into the directory that contains VIDEO_TS (you should already be in there), click on "Open" --> nothing happens, the open dialog stays open.

3. Quit OGMRip, change into a different directory, start OGMRip from there

4. Do step 2 again, this time it works.

This has first been reported against OGMRip, but upstream says its a GTK problem: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+2.0/+bug/375087,

Hi!

I am also affected by this problem. I'm currently running an up-to-date Ubuntu Jaunty, but this bug has been around for a looooong time. I just never found the time to report it.

Steps to reproduce (1):

* open Mozilla Thunderbird
* select an email that contains multiple attachments
* right-click on the attachment section and select "Save all..."
* in the file selector, select "Open" -> nothing will happen
* select another directory (if you want to save into current directory, you need to go up one directory and then return to the one before), click on "Open" -> the attachments are saved as expected

If, however, you select only a single attachment, select "Save as...", and click on "Save", the file will be saved immediately.

Steps to reproduce (2):

* open gtkpod (you don't need an iPod for that...)
* select "Music Library" in the left pane by clicking on it
* click on the button "Add folder" (should contain at least an MP3 file)
* in the file selector, select "Add" -> nothing will happen
* select another directory (if you want to save into current directory, you need to go up one directory and then return to the one before), click on "Add" -> the files are added to the library as expected

Same here, if you want to select a single file by clicking on the "Add files" button instead, everything works fine (unless try to add a directory, that is).

Thanks,

Martin

This was fixed in April 2010 - please update your version of GTK+.
