GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 582527
corrupted display and print of contact data
Last modified: 2010-03-25 07:03:32 UTC
Please describe the problem: Description of problem:on Mandriva 2009.0 x86_64, Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Evolution 2.24.5 How reproducible: happens about one time in 3. I've tried highlighting various single entries before going Ctrl-A to select all, but haven't established a guaranteed way to display the corruption every time. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Put some people details in Evolution Contacts 2.in the main window showing multiple entries, highlight the first line of one of them 3.Ctrl-A to select all entries. All the first lines are highlighted 4.File -> Print Preview This displays all the entries in a nice layout, but about 1 time in 3 with severe text corruption. The original displayed in Evolution: Blackwell, Tony Full Name: Tony Blackwell Nickname: Tony Home E-mail: t.blackwell@uq.net.au Home Phone: 11111111 (changed for this example) Displayed on print preview: Blackwell, Tony File Under: Blacxwell, Ton& Full Name: Ton& Blacxwell Given Name Ton& Family& Name Blacxwell Nicxname: Ton& j-mail1: t.blacxwel lku(unprintable squiggle).net.au pasted into this bugreport - its changed again!! Strange that I got something closer to the original without the '&' and 'x' etc of the corrupted display. It's not right however - see corrupted email line, with a gap in address. Blackwell, Tony File Under: Blackwell, Tony Full Name: Tony Blackwell Given Name: Tony Family Name: Blackwell Nickname: Tony E-mail 1: t.blackwel l@uq.net.au This is totally weird stuff. Does it have anything to do with having chosen 'all languages' at initial install? Looks like some font problem?? Makes Evolution unusable. Tony Blackwell Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. see above Actual results: garbage in data as above Expected results: see the contact data uncorrupted Does this happen every time? no, about 1 time in 3 Other information: see problem description
