GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 581014
when importing external data, last 10 lines are skipped
Last modified: 2009-05-01 15:27:42 UTC
each time I import a files .txt the last 10 lines are skipped. To pass through this problem, I had 10 blanck lines at the end of my file, import it, and it works. I don't know if it's the same for everyone or just for my computer. Maybe it's due to the files I use. They are encoded in UTF-8. I don't think that the end-line character is important. I think that I have tested with mac, windows or unix end-line character. for exemple, I have the problem with the following file (In fact, I didn't found where I can join a file...)
Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 580930 ***
Sorry about this. I searched for the bug before creating my own bug report, but I didn't found this. In fact, I searched for the word "import" and no report where "import" was in the title corresponded to my problem. In addition, I tested my files to find a files where there was the problem, and no problem appeared at all. So I can't join a file or specify a way to reproduce this phenomenon.
