GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 580793
Always register to the session in auto restart mode
Last modified: 2009-05-31 15:42:08 UTC
Nautilus registers to the session manager using the nautilus.desktop file, which says X-GNOME-AutoRestart = True. While this is desirable in the general case, it is not when nautilus is not managing the desktop (when started with --no-desktop or when show_desktop is set to false). In this case, when you close all nautilus windows, the nautilus process exits, and the session manager brings it back to life immediately.

The change is probably trivial but could you attach the diff with the new .desktop file ?
(In reply to comment #2) > The change is probably trivial but could you attach the diff with the new > .desktop file ? The nautilus-home.desktop file is already shipped, so there is no other change than the patch I attached.
In the meantime, I have spotted a better way to fix this, together with bug#571417. I’ll follow up in this bug.
