GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 580686
term "placeholder" is not defined before use
Last modified: 2018-06-29 22:21:01 UTC
Related to bug #507209 My Gnu Cash Experience 1. I selected the “create a new set of accounts” button and hit “ok” 2, A page came up that said <no file> at the top. This was confusing 3. I switched screens and found that a page that said “New Account Heirarchy Setup” 4. I hit “forward” 5. I continued to “Setup new accounts” I did not understand the term “placeholder”
I'm afraid the information in this bug is rather vague. In its present form it very hard to figure out what problems are actually encountered. Let's see if we can get some more detail... > I did not understand the term “placeholder” For starters, this has been reported in a separate bug 507351 before, so it will not be dealt with here again. > 1. I selected the “create a new set of accounts” button and hit “ok” I suppose this comes from the standard first run dialog where the user is asked what he/she would like to do. > 2. A page came up that said <no file> at the top. > > This was confusing > > 3. I switched screens and found that a page that said “New Account Heirarchy Setup” What do you (or your mother) mean with "I switched screens" ? Does she have a multi-monitor setup ? Or (more likely) do you mean the "New Account Hierarchy Setup" window appeared behind the "No File" window ?
I've pointed my mom at this bug. She may need to re-install the application and re-acquaint herself with it, as these reports were made a couple of years ago.
