GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 579301
GIMP crashes (stops responding) when selecting anything from the Colour Menu
Last modified: 2009-04-18 09:32:30 UTC
In windows, if I select a menu item from the "Colors" menu (see below), GIMP stops responding and windows says that the program "...has stopped working and Windows searching online for a solution". This bug is very repoducable on my labtop, and occurs irrespective of what file type I have open (I've tried .bmp, .jpg, .png) and also occurs if I do not have a image open. So far, the following menu items all cause GIMP to crash, though I haven't tested the remaining menu items yet. Colour balance Hue-saturation colourize Brightness-Contrast Threshhold Levels Curves Posterize Desaturate I am using Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit).
Created attachment 132828 [details] The dialog which pops up after GIMP freezes Thhis is the first dialog which pops up after GIMP freezes, the dialog attempts to find a solution online for the freeze, but fails (see gimp-crash-2.png).
Created attachment 132829 [details] The second dialog which pops after GIMP freezes This is the second dialog box which pops up after GIMP freezes. Clicking on "Close Program" simply closes th dialog box and GIMP.
Comment on attachment 132828 [details] The dialog which pops up after GIMP freezes Just to add, clicking on Cancel closes the dialog box and GIMP too.
