GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 578473
gir-repository compilation problem
Last modified: 2015-02-07 16:49:30 UTC
From #gnome-shell 2<lasheimok2> Hi all :) 2<lasheimok2> Since yesterday I can't compile gnome-shell any more. 2<lasheimok2> Entry 'GnomeVFSFileInfo' not found 2<lasheimok2> The system is Debian Squeeze, so it may be a bit outdated. 2<moch2> what is giving you that error message? 2<lasheimok2> *** error during stage build of gir-repository: ########## Error running make *** [2/6] 2<lasheimok2> make[2]: *** [Nautilus-1.0.typelib] Aborted 2<lasheimok2> It doesn't seem to give more info than that. I can't see which line fails, only the file. 2<moch2> if you just wanted to hack around it, you could comment out the nautilus parts of gir/Makefile.am 2<lasheimok2> ic has joined #gnome-shell 2<lasheimok2> Is it caused by a missing or outdated library? 2<moch2> I think so 2<lasheimok2> Which one? 2<moch2> what version of libnautilus-extension-dev do you have? 2<lasheimok2> 2.20.0-7 2<moch2> pretty sure that's it, then 2<lasheimok2> Which version is the minimum for it to work? 2<moch2> looks like 2.22, according to the nautilus NEWS file 2<lasheimok2> ok 2<lasheimok2> The hack around seems to work. I guess I just leave it until the new packages are in testing. 2<lasheimok2> Thank you! :)
