GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 578256
adding text to a shape fails when first character will be "i"
Last modified: 2009-04-07 21:00:14 UTC
Please describe the problem: After creating for example creating a process flowchart block and it is possible to add text to a block. If we however choose not to add text at that point and deselect the block, but then reselect the block because we decided we do want to add text. Now to enter the text editing mode we can either use the tools menu-> edit text or just press F2. After pressing F2 and then wanting to enter text, if this text begins with an i the i will not be entered. Instead the image tool in the button window will be selected (this is the same for all defined button shortcuts of the buttons window). This seems faulty behaviour instead the text character should be entered Steps to reproduce: 1. Create flowchart object such as a process block 2. Deselect the object 3. Reselect the object 4. enter text editing mode 5. Press either i or c Actual results: no text is entered in the text box insted a different button is selected in the button window Expected results: the pressed character appears in the object Does this happen every time? only when not editing text directly after the blocks creation Other information:
