Description Robert Ancell 2009-03-29 23:37:56 UTC
There are a number of instabilities in the OpenGL stack that can cause glChess to crash. If this occurs glChess should revert to 2D mode after it has been restarted. I'm not sure how to do this cleanly and still support multiple versions being open.

To toggle 3D mode from outside glChess (e.g. if it crashes on startup) type the following from the command line:
$ gconftool-2 --toggle /apps/glchess/show_3d
