Description Pierre-Luc Beaudoin 2009-03-27 17:28:15 UTC
When protocol allows it, Empathy should have a button to change my account password (like Gajim has for XMPP).
Comment 1 Bernd Schlapsi 2010-02-04 18:30:36 UTC
I would like to see this feature too.
Today I wanted to change my password and couldn't find an option for it in Empathy
Comment 2 Guillaume Desmottes 2010-02-09 10:32:44 UTC
You can use Seahorse to change the password.
Comment 3 Bernd Schlapsi 2010-02-09 11:10:02 UTC
Does Seahorse change the password on my jabber-server? For ICQ and MSN there is the option to change the password on the website. For XMPP the client should provide the feature to change the password. In Pidgin there is an option to change the XMPP password.
Comment 4 Guillaume Desmottes 2010-02-09 12:04:48 UTC
No it doesn't (sorry I miss read this bug report). Telepathy doesn't have API to change password atm.
Comment 5 Stepan Zastupov 2010-10-29 21:29:21 UTC
This feature is really necessary, without I'm forced to install another jabber client to change my password.
Comment 6 Emilio Pozuelo Monfort 2010-11-19 10:46:27 UTC
I've opened a Telepathy bug requesting the addition of the needed API:
