Description Brian J. Murrell 2009-03-23 12:59:04 UTC
No surprise, but vfolders are still not working reliably. I have some NNTP groups on gmane which I have added to my Unread messages folder and while it was showing new messages in this folder for a while it is no longer. It is still showing some older messages but just not newer ones.

And again, on the subject of vfolders, I'm gunna ask, what is the roadmap for vfolders of vfolders? When will that be finally fixed? The query notation in vfolders is not sufficient so that one can avoid needing to make vfolders from other vfolders.

eds patch

for evolution-data-server;

I'm not 100% sure how much this is related to your issue, though I see that the notification about newly downloaded messages should be invoked always, thus the other listeners know about them. The function I added this change could be called from places where this notification wasn't done.

Nonetheless, if this will not still work for you, could you run evolution from console and see whether it claims anything there, please? Of course, the best with the upcoming 3.1.90, or 3.0.3, where this fix, with quite many other since your 2.26.x, will be included.
