When I want to paste some text to a tomboy note with ctrl-V in formats the text as bold instead of pasting the text.

Are you using dvorak? This is probably a dupe of bug #162726.

If you're using dvorak, please delete the non-dvorak keyboard layout from your keyboard preferences.
Comment 2 António Lima 2009-03-16 23:42:02 UTC
No, I'm not using dvorak. But maybe it's something with my keyboard layout, Portuguese. But Ctrl-V it works fine in all other applications.
Comment 3 Sandy Armstrong 2009-03-16 23:49:52 UTC
I should have been more clear: do you have multiple keyboard layouts defined in your keyboard preferences? For example, do you switch between english and portugese layouts?

The bug is triggered by multiple keyboard layouts. If you have multiple ones, try deleting one and see if that works.
Comment 4 António Lima 2009-03-17 00:01:10 UTC
That was the problem. I had 2 diferent portuguese keyboard layouts, when I deleted one, Ctrl-V worked again :). Sorry for the dup!

Thanks!

No worries, I know it's pretty bizarre since it doesn't affect all apps. It's apprently fixed in GNOME 2.26 so hopefully the next version of your favorite distro won't have this bug!
