Description António Lima 2009-03-16 22:38:07 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Hitting ctrl+M to comment a selected line of code does not comment the code. It pastes previously copied text, i.e. acting like ctrl+V

Steps to reproduce:
1. Select a line of code to comment
2. Hit Ctrl+M
3.

Actual results:
Previously copied text is pasted

Expected results:
Code would be commented out

Does this happen every time?

Specifically what version of gedit are you using?

In my gedit (2.24.2) shortcut CTRL+M works well.
Comment 2 António Lima 2009-03-28 00:42:28 UTC
I guess this is a dup of bug #162726. I'm running 2.24.3 but had two portuguese keyboard layouts set. When I deleted one of them everything went back to normal.

I had a similar issue in tomboy with ctrl+v. It's not a gedit bug. I thought I marked this one as duplicate, sorry.

Thanks
