"When you try to change the tab width from the statusbar the value is reset when you save the document, cant understand why this function is applied if it reset everytime you save your document. If I go Edit -> Preferences -> Editor and change the width it works perfectly. This is not a big deal, just trying to help. Really nice editor for programming."

This is a known side effect of the mode lines plugin setting the mode line (or the default global settings if no mode line is present) on save. The difference with changing the value in the preferences with regard to the statusbar is that the statusbar only affects the current document and not the global preferences. This problem needs to be addressed in the mode lines plugin which has to be a bit smarter now.
