How did you find out?
Comment 2 linux 2009-03-08 20:33:35 UTC
I found out by sending a test email from 4 different accounts to 3 different email addresses each of the 4 emails were sent from 4 different accounts making sure that these accounts were selected respectively in the from drop down box.

Aside from the emails i recieved from the test saying all the same from email address i could see when Evolution was connecting to send email that all the email was sending through the same SMTP server.

Also I have subscribed to several mailing lists and emails were being rejected due to the from address not matching the subscribed address so i set that email account up in Thunderbird to do some troubleshooting and it worked fine so in conclusion it looks as though smtp settings are ignored except for the default account.

Is there a way to trace this and be able to post it here for your analysis.
