SD cards not recognized

Please describe the problem: In PartedMagic when I insert an SD card, the operating system recognizes it and I am able to view and edit the contents. When I open Gprated and go to change the device it is not recognized in the program. Only the hard driver is. I have also tried this in ubuntu but gparted does not recongized the card there either. What is the device name of your SD card? For example the first hard drive is often /dev/sda. Also could you provide the contents of your /proc/partitions file?

RE: Change "login" to "e-mail" for Bugzilla login. The GParted team does not control the Bugzilla site. It is used by many Gnome projects. For such a request you will likely need to contact the someone from the Gnome project, such as at the following link: http://live.gnome.org/Bugzilla RE: SD cards not recognized It appears that the device name for your SD card is /dev/mmcblk0.
