Description Alec_Burgess 2009-02-24 04:53:47 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
1. Select File-Create-Logos - Alien Glow (or any other)
2. optionally change the Font - crash happens either way
3. Click OK in the popup dialog
4. Crash occurs.

Stack trace:
Pango:ERROR:pangowin32.c:838:pango_win32_font_finalize: assertion failed: (win32
font->fontmap != NULL)

Is this the required stack trace - its all that appeared in the DOS box when the crash occurred.

Other information:
using gimp-2.7.0-r28042-i686-setup.exe (on Windows XP SP3)
originally reported in thread [Gimp-developer] Logo scripts crash gimp 2.7 by photocomix.

As reported by Alexandre Prokoudine in same thread ...
Open a new empty image, select text tool and click in the image causes crash with same message:
Pango:ERROR:pangowin32.c:838:pango_win32_font_finalize: assertion failed: (win32 font->fontmap != NULL)

Confirming for this build.

The problem is that "Version: Current SVN" is not really suitable for this - if there will be weekly builds, then bugs about them should go to the SourceForge bug tracker and be moved upstream by the maintainer of the installer if they persist - I do not know if Jernej wants to handle this task :)

Looks like a pango crash. Reassigning.
