GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 572696
Clock applet incorrectly resizes when mousing over locations
Last modified: 2009-07-04 23:16:18 UTC
Please describe the problem: If you have multiple locations shown on the clock applet (I have Bombay, Boston and San Francisco), when you mouse over them the Clock applet shows a button labeled 'Set.'. When this button appears, the applet window is incorrectly resized so that the right border disappears off screen, and part of the applet is inaccessible/invisible. I believe that the window should not resize at all, or if it resizes, the whole window should be visible on screen. Steps to reproduce: 1. Make sure your clock is at the right-most edge of the Panel. 2. Add at least one location to your clock applet 3. Move your mouse over the location so that the 'Set' button appears. Actual results: The clock applet resizes and part of it now disappears off screen. Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
I can confirm this bug. This happens too, when there is a calendar item with a long name. By clicking on a empty date the calender shrinks to small window. Clicking on a day with an item, the calender increases the size to the right and out of the screen. The calender window is always aligned to the left of the clock. A fixed calender window size would be nice. I am using Fedora 10 with Gnome 2.24.3.
