Description Jeff Tong 2009-02-21 05:45:32 UTC
Please refer to the following screenshot taken.
http://www.tong.cc/gimp2.6.jpg

I am a tradition Chinese user in Hong Kong. I am using Windows XP profession SP2 tradition Chinese edition.

The problem has appeared since the rollout of GIMP 2.6.0. I could not stand submitting the report form of bug because GIMP 2.6 is much better than previous versions but I did not find the similar problem before using 2.6.x.

Hi and thanks for the bug report! It seems as if the font you use have problems displaying the 'THIN SPACE' (U+2009) Unicode character. Have you tried using a different font?
Comment 2 Jeff Tong 2009-02-21 08:23:24 UTC
Do you mean using a different font in GTK+ environment?

I do not know how to apply another font in GTK+ under Windows but I have to point out that the font mingliu.ttc is the default font in Traditional Chinese Windows which is dominant in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Some Linux guys in Taiwan even apply the font in Linux until now.
Comment 3 Martin Nordholts 2009-02-21 08:25:23 UTC
Well since it looks like the font doesn't contain the necessary character I'm afraid it's not much we can do in GIMP. Closing as NOTGNOME.
