Description Daniel Ruoso 2009-02-19 15:49:12 UTC
Desktop launchers are cute, but allowing files to look like something different in the regular navigation window is very fragile.

Even an experienced user can be fooled by this, since you can mask the file as "main.c" with the gedit icon.

I'm not entering in the details of how that file can end into the user's dir because there are endless possibilities (since .desktop doesn't require the x bit).

I think this bug is a duplicate of #107417 (although nicer presented), but I somehow don't seem to know where the button is in Bugzilla :/

Thanks Dylan, nice spotting, closing as a duplicate.
You can't see the buttons because probably you don't have the required privileges to edit bugs :)
