Description Carl M. 2009-02-18 22:41:19 UTC
Please describe the problem:
A ".mht-file" opens with Opera by clicking on it. However if I click on a .mht file from within an Nautilus search, then Nautlius opens the file with gedit.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Make sure .mht-file is opened by Opera (properties -> Right-click)
2. Do a Nautilus-Seach for .mht-files
3. click at any .mht-file within that search. Now it is opened by GEDIT. Which is the wrong application.

Actual results:
Gedit displays the source code of the .mht-file

Expected results:
I would exprct Opera to diplay a file similar to .html.

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
Opreating system: Ubuntu 8.10 32bit

important

I just noticed I mixed up the "gnome-search-tool" with the search evoked by the "nautilus"-command.

It is the "gnome-search-tool" which creates the problem.
Comment 2 Carl M. 2009-02-18 23:46:45 UTC
The gnome-search-tool classifies .mht-files as emails.
Comment 3 Cosimo Cecchi 2009-02-19 19:07:07 UTC
-> gnome-utils

But this is actually a duplicate of bug 543713, as gnome-search-tool still uses gnome-vfs, which has a different logic for opening the files. Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.
