GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 572133
Crash on startup (0.13.5)
Last modified: 2009-10-04 00:48:03 UTC
Steps to reproduce: Installed gtk-sharp-2.12.8-1.win32.msi and the new tomboy 0.13.5 version. after installation it crashes with the following debug info: Stack trace: An unhandled exception of type 'System.DllNotFoundException' occurred in gtk-sharp.dll Additional information: Unable to load DLL 'libgtk-win32-2.0-0.dll': The specified procedure could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007F) Other information:
Did you remember to restart after installing gtk-sharp? What version of Windows?
Yes, Did a restart. Windows XP SP2. Also happened on another computer with the same results. FIY the previous version of tomboy worked for a while on my computer and then suddenly stopped, giving the same error. I tried uninstalling gtk# and tomboy and reinstalling a thousand times but nothing worked.
Do you have Pidgin or any other gtk+ apps installed?
I had gtk+ it on my system (for pidgin), uninstalled it, still crashes...
You might need to clean up your PATH environment variable from having multiple versions of GTK+ installed. Not really sure what's going on, and sadly having gtk# installed alongside gtk+ apps is known to be troublesome at this time (the various installer guys are trying to make this problem go away, though).
Tomboy ran fine after I installed it the first time on a Windows XP machine. I rebooted and Tomboy crashes on startup.
