GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 571675
Panel Doesn't unhide when mouse hovers on outer 2 pixels
Last modified: 2009-03-03 22:12:56 UTC
If the gnome-panel is docked to the left or right side of the screen and is set to auto-hide. However, the left panel wont unhide when the mouse hovers over the 2 most left colums of pixels of the panel. The same problem when the panel is docked to the right side of the screen with the 2 most right pixels of the panel. The problem only occurs when I move the mouse quickly. When moving slowly it already touches an other part of the panel. Other information: The problem doesn't occur when the panel is set to be at the top or bottom of the screen.
The bug appears in openSuse 11.1 but doesn't seem to appear in Ubuntu 8.10 I think this might be a distribution related problem.
Symptoms look very similar to those in bug 536246. Can you reproduce it in your openSuse installation?

You're right, It's indeed a duplicate of bug 536246 Problem doesn't occur if the "Rotate cube" function of compiz-fusion is disabled.
