Description Sebastien Bacher 2009-02-12 15:01:20 UTC
the bug has been opened on https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/319058

"This seems to be newly broken in jaunty.

To reproduce:

1- add the seahorse applet to a panel
2- type some text into a text field, select it and copy it to the keyboard
3- choose 'sign clipboard'

observe:

Seahorse raises a dialog (see attached) asked if it should be signed as some other person. I've never heard of this person, I don't have a private key for them, and their name is not mentioned in the text. The clipboard is not signed.

what should happen:

It should prompt me for my passphrase and then sign using my private key."
