GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 570508
Google Contacts does not display business phone
Last modified: 2010-04-07 03:51:35 UTC
Please describe the problem: The 'business phone' field in Google Contacts does not show on the summary list page, yet the phone number is correctly stored when a given contact is selected. The other fields, e.g. mobile phone, seem to show correctly, but I have just spotted some examples with 'home phone'. I run the latest Ubuntu release (2.24.1 Gnome) (it also crashes regularly, but that is a different story!) Steps to reproduce: 1. Occurs all the time 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
Fixing version.
I confirm this bug. Furthermore, when a contact is edited, it does not take the same field location. For instance, is the first field is setup for the mobile phone and the next for the office phone, at the next edit, they may be swap. Regards.

I believe this is all related to simple error in the handling of the business phone number. Once the business phone is properly read, the remaining phone numbers retain their proper position. I've been using the attached patch with 2.28.1 under karmic with good success.
