GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 570299
GIMP 2.6.3 wont minimize all open, dockable dialog/tool windows
Last modified: 2009-02-03 22:57:11 UTC
GIMP 2.6.3 wont minimize all dockable dialog/tool windows. I SUGGEST TO ENABLE FOLKS TO MINIMIZE ALL OPEN DOCKABLE DIALOG/TOOL WINDOWS when you minimize the main window. As it is now, when I minimize the "main window" the others stay open and I don't want to close them, just minimize and be able to go back and forth. I think this worked in 2.4 or earlier but I may be wrong. And while were on the sizing topic, when I maximze the main window it shows up behind the open dockable dialog/tool windows I have customized with my fav tabs, partially blocked by the dockables. Also when I click inside [the maximized main window] the dockables stay "on top" always, I hope it can be discussed. Thats probably a harder problem to fix but.... I LOVE this program and wholeheartedly Thank the team for it. It is awesome! I would be hurt if it did not exist!!!! One parting thought, is there a way to get folks to submit "how I used GIMP for/to do this" ideas with a copy of the graphic and creation/procedure details so that people who see these would be stimulated/inspired or get ideas for ways to use it? I find "Necessity is the Mother of Invention", but examples with explainations or "How I did it's" very usefull for Invention!! I myself would contribute things I have done and clarified for myself and my "creations" with GIMP if I knew clearly where to! I use Win 98, XP and Vista Home Prem with GIMP all the time [2/2/09]
