I would like to see the ability to enable vsync in totem to get rid of the tearinbg I got, since the video card driver here can't stop the tearing, the video player itself need to have vsync enabled.

How is this a GStreamer bug? Which video sink are you using, xvimagesink? In that case I think Xv should take care of this
