Evolution Mail and Calendar: Every time I go to adres...
Last modified: 2010-02-18 03:33:20 UTC
Every time I go to adressbook I get this error: "error loading adressbook. Can't open adressbook. Check if pad /home/peter/.evolution/addressbook/local/1230298733.6088.1@PeterLombaerts exsists and if you can approach it" Then I go looking for this folder and it doesn't exsist. What to do now? Distribution: Fedora release 10 (Cambridge) Gnome Release: 2.24.2 2008-11-25 (Red Hat, Inc) BugBuddy Version: 2.24.2

How did you upgrade? Since when does this happen? Did you enable displaying hidden folders when looking for the folder?
(In reply to comment #2) > How did you upgrade? Since when does this happen? > Did you enable displaying hidden folders when looking for the folder? > I installed Fedora from live cd. Well I made a backup of evolution before reinstalling fedora. I copied also all my folders of my personal folder, and also folder ".evolution" to my usb so I could use all my files again. After I reinstalled fedora, I deleted all my hidden folders on my usb (including ".evolution") and after this I restored evolution from my backup file. Since then he gave this error. I think because the new ".evolution" isn't the same as when I made this backup. Since the error occured, I tried to delete these adressbooks, and then he gives this error. So I went looking for those folders and thinking I could delete those adressbooks by deleting the folders. I even can't restore those folders because I cleared my trash. When I create a new adressbook he also gives this error.
When I uninstalled and reinstalled evolution, all my preferences and accounts were still present. Should I have deleted the folder ".evolution" aswell after uninstall??? May be this is the solution??
Did you use Evolution's backup and restore function? Also see http://www.go-evolution.org/FAQ#Where_does_Evolution_store_my_data.3F and the two items after.

Since I used it the error pops-up Now 2 minuts ago I used the function again. But error keeps coming. I can't even delete the adressbooks of that backup or adressbook I just created after restore.
