Description barney.gale 2009-01-30 21:44:04 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Hi! I have a logitech E3500. It works in skype.

When I open cheese, the little gnome "foot" loading icon appears where the webcam output would normally go for a couple of seconds, the light on my webcam turns on, the foot goes away and I'm left with nothing. Just a big grey space where the image should be displayed.

Note that the image isn't BLACK, there's simply no image at all, just the GTK grey area.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open cheese
2. Wait

Actual results:
Webcam image doesn't appear, just stays grey

Expected results:
Webcam image appears

Does this happen every time?
Yep

Which system are you using? Probably Ubuntu 8.10 or something which was released around that time (october 08).

We've had a lot of this reports already but no matter what has been: Thanks for reporting this issue!

Please read how the issue has been fixed at the original (the first) bug report.

Thanks again and cheers
