GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 568322
Visual tweaks for workspaces
Last modified: 2009-09-22 01:22:12 UTC
* Center the title, reduce font size * Only show the title on mouseover. This looks significantly better in "overlapped" mode, and fits in better with the concept of the overlay as a more "heavyweight" task switch. * In overlapped mode, lower opacity of non-highlighted windows, to make more obvious which one is selected.

I think the title part is definitely an improvement. I'm not sure that the transparency part does, however ... a stack of 0.4 opacity windows is pretty hard to make out. In a quick hack-test, temporarily raising the moused-over window seems to work and not be too confusing in terms of navigation. * I don't think there is any reason to restrict the title to the width of the actor with this change. * I think it would work better to center the title than to put it over the title bar, which looks unbalanced to me.

Looks fine. Some stray stuff in the patch that will presumbaly get fixed when you merge Leftover WINDOW_DEFAULT/NONWHATEVER_OPACITY change
Ok, committed with additional fixes. I didn't expand the title for now; we should consider doing that, or possibly move it to the top.
