Description Sebastian Keller 2009-01-19 11:13:11 UTC
Please describe the problem:
The keybindings do not work while a menu is open. I guess thats because the gtk menus try to capture all keyboard events in order to be able to define shortcuts. But I think it should be different, g-s-d should capture the keyboard events and pass every unhandled event to gtk.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a menu
2. Press the key you have bound to volume up (or something else)
3. The keypress is not handled by g-s-d

Actual results:

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Other information:
This is a bit annoying on notebooks where you have volume up/down keybindings on the volume up/down keys. If you press them while no menu is open it changes the alsa volume. If you press it while a menu is open it changes the hardware volume (/proc/acpi/ibm/volume on a thinkpad) with no notification of what happened.
